ATTY. JOEL R. DIZON was editor-in-chief of The Gold Oreand the Baguio City Digest,  both local newspapers in Baguio City,  largely supported by a grant from its publisher Benjamin R, Salvosa beginning in 1977. It ceased publication in 2001 after fulfilling its mission of serving as exponent of press freedom and vanguard of the Alternative Press during martial law. 
   He was a regional correspondent of the Manila ChroniclePahayagang Malaya, Veritas newsmagazine and the Philippine bureau of Kyodo News Japan

   He was a professor of Journalism, Political Science in the University of the Cordilleras and taught Civil and Political Law at the university's College of Law.

   He is a reviewer for the Philippine Bar Examinations and is affiliated with Powerhouse Review and Lecture Bureau, specializing in Constitutional and Commercial Law.

  He was a junior partner of the law firm of Rondez and Partners from 2001 to 2011 till he established his own law office  in Suite 401-B, 3rd Floor La Azotea Building, Session Road Baguio City, Philippines 2600.  His only daughter Atty. Parable P. Dizon (San Beda College of Law 2015)  is his law partner. She is also corporate counsel for Fishermall, Inc. (Quezon City and Malabon)
